Adobe Patches Critical Security Flaws in Acrobat/Reader
In response to the potential for zero-day exploits, Adobe has released a patch to their entire line of Acrobat products. You can use the Adobe updater to patch your copy of Acrobat to v9.3 or download the standalone updater from the Adobe website. The update includes a variety of security patches and minor improvements to the operation and stability of Acrobat. You can read a good summary of what's been done at the blog.zdnet.com website.

New and Improved!

McAra Printing’s new website is more than just an online brochure. We plan to evolve the site over the coming months to include an interactive plant tour where you can learn about McAra’s equipment and what it can do for your print project as well as several other unique features.

  • Online Portfolio: The website will host a flash-based portfolio of some of our finest print pieces.
  • Web Cam: Our offices are west facing, overlooking Deerfoot trail, the city centre and the mountains. Visit often to check traffic conditions, see a Chinook arch, or simply watch the sunset. We’ve got one of the best views in the city.
  • Customer education and technical resource centre: Find out how to prepare your work for McAra’s prepress department to ensure best results. We’ll also have a form where you can ask your own questions.
  • Print Links: Regularly updated links of interest to our customers including software and technology vendors.
  • Online quote and estimating system
  • Web-to-Print portal: Plans are in the works to implement an online portal for our customers to manage their print projects. Stay tuned for more details.
We’re really excited about our new website and would love to hear what you think about it, as well as problems and your suggestions. Send your comments to zac(dot)bolan(at)mcara(dot)com, replace the characters in brackets with the appropriate symbol.
